Just capturing 380-750 nm.

The visible wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum. (ROYGBIV)

My day job is being a Biology Teacher, but I have become fascinated with the process of capturing beautiful images that tell captivating stories of our experiences as animals on a planet that makes annual trips around a ball of nuclear fusion reactions. I am just happy that I get the opportunity to capture the light being emitted from that fiery ball of nuclear reactions in our sky because that light travels through space for

OVER 8 MINUTES,

passes through our atmosphere then bounces off my subject through my lens onto my digital sensor, or organic film. Then and only then, do I capture this moment for the foreseeable future.

For sure as long as my hard drives last.

Then as long as the paper that my photos are printed on avoids disintegration.

Then as long as the plastic laminate that covers some of my prints.

Then until the inevitable heat death of the universe.

Life is crazy.
